The most repulsive part of this case is not the breach of medical records, but the natural, effortless mechanism of complicity. A hospital counselor abused her authority to steal the privacy of a sexually abused girl, then shared it as "intelligence" with her sister-in-law, the school principal. In this closed loop, the child's physical trauma and privacy were completely objectified into gossip and bargaining chips for the privileged social circle.
This is a textbook example of structural violence. HIPAA is a protection on paper, but in the face of real power networks, it becomes a cost to be ignored. When one's identity is the "granddaughter of the founder" or an "insider in the medical system," they subconsciously believe they possess the power to define reality. They didn't just leak privacy; they attempted to label the victim's father as a "narcissist," using narrative manipulation to mask the school's negligence. This is the micro-manifestation of meta-violence: legitimizing one's own wrongdoing by defining the other as "untrustworthy."
Most ironically, the perpetrator found employment at the DA's office immediately after being fired. This internal mutual aid proves the survival capacity of those who control the cognitive entry points. The weakening of "Charlie's Law" under pressure from private schools further demonstrates how structural violence is legalized through the complicity of commercial interests. The victim's Potential state is stripped, while her Actual state is suppressed by the network of power.
