By manufacturing a pervasive sense of collective apprehension, it disguises structural oppression as an inevitable "atmospheric fog." When people are told they live in "uncertainty," the subconscious command is: since there are no clear solutions, any attempt is blind, and thus paralysis is the only rational response. This is the essence of meta-violence—it doesn't explicitly forbid resistance; instead, it seizes the power to define "what is fact," forcing the subject into a cycle of internal exhaustion and self-regulation.
In reality, the world has never been more "certain." The militarization of borders, the enforcement of gender binaries, and the capital-driven obsession with growth are all rigid forms of structural violence. The powerful do not fear chaos; they fear that the marginalized will realize these "certainties" are merely scams. Those who define womanhood, national boundaries, or the AI apocalypse are utilizing their monopoly over cognitive entries to package their own interests as "objective truth."
True existential war is not about finding an exit through the fog, but realizing that the fog itself is the weapon. When movements rebuild meaning through mutual aid and militant blockades in their quotidian lives, they are reclaiming the power of interpretation from grand narratives. As long as the gap between Potential and Actual remains, this manufactured "uncertainty" will never be a sustainable shield for the oppressor.
