The 'Too Far' Fallacy: Complicit Actors Flipping the Script for Profit

Violence against the vulnerable is called 'order' until it starts costing the complicit their profit.

现在,这些“工具”被抽走,导致 Potential(本可达到的经济状态)与 Actual(现实状态)之间出现了巨大的差额。

Trump’s 'mass deportations' are not a policy miscalculation, but a pure exercise in meta violence: establishing absolute power by defining who is 'non-human.' For many Republican lawmakers and capital owners, this violence initially held an 'aesthetic value'—it fed a narrative of strength and gave the complicit a psychological sense of dominance.

But the wind has shifted. The claim that 'Trump has gone too far' is essentially a collective flip by the complicit after calculating the bills. When ICE bullets kill US citizens, when restaurant sales plummet by 70%, when cattle herds hit 75-year lows, and when rural healthcare collapses without immigrant doctors, these capital holders suddenly realize the violence machine they helped build is now eating their profits.

This is a classic linkage of structural violence: defining immigrants as 'disposable tools' to extract cheap labor during prosperity and using them as sacrificial lambs for political theater. Now that these 'tools' are gone, a massive gap has opened between Potential and Actual economic states. This gap is the backlash of violence at the structural level.

Those Republican senators now 'softening their rhetoric' haven't suddenly discovered humanitarianism; they are simply adjusting their optimal expression in an existential war. When 'hardness' no longer buys votes but leads to meat price spikes and medical shortages, 'tolerance' becomes their new survival strategy.

The irony is that this pivot remains firmly within the masculine-centric narrative. They don't care about the death of the deportees' subjectivity; they care about whether their beef arrives on time and their elderly are cared for. To them, the value of an immigrant is purely functional. When the function fails, they realize violence is a double-edged sword. But make no mistake: this 'reflection' is performative. The moment profits return, they will unhesitatingly become complicit in meta violence once again.
