用“努力”掩盖无能：工党的叙事骗局The 'Trying' Scam: Labour's Performance of Effort
工党现在玩的是一套极其典型的 weaponized 叙事：把“努力”(trying) 包装成一种政治资产。当选民在生活成本危机中挣扎时，政府抛出的是什么？是取消品牌校服、整治停车 App 这种琐碎的“日常修复”(everyday fixes)。这在逻辑上是个巨大的 scam。用这些微小的、表演性的让步来对冲结构性暴力的缺口，本质上是在用文化层面的“好感度”掩盖结构层面的无能。
这种策略是典型的共谋逻辑。政府试图与选民达成一种潜意识的协议：我表现出我很辛苦、我很在乎，所以请原谅我无法在税收、公共控制和资源分配这些 structural 层面做出实质性改变。他们把伊朗战争带来的财政缺口当作一个完美的“外部借口”，试图将 Potential（民众应有的生活水平）与 Actual（残酷的现实）之间的差额，定义为“不可抗力”而非“政策失败”。
最可笑的是，他们竟然认为只要首相的 communication skills 足够好，就能让选民接受“同样的绝望，但这次有更好的 vibes”。这其实是对选民主体性的极度蔑视。在存在性战争中，选民需要的是生存空间的真实扩张，而不是一个在电视上显得很真诚的领导人告诉你他正在“卷起袖子”。
如果一个政府的最高战略是让人们觉得它在“尝试”，那么这个政府已经完成了从“解决问题者”到“情绪按摩师”的转型。这种叙事一旦被内化，就是最危险的文化暴力：它让受害者相信，只要施暴者（或无能者）态度足够诚恳，现状就是可以接受的。
Labour is deploying a classic weaponized narrative: rebranding 'trying' as a political asset. While voters drown in a cost-of-living crisis, the government offers 'everyday fixes' like unbranded school uniforms and parking app regulations. This is a systemic scam. They are using petty, performative concessions at the cultural layer to offset a void in structural change.
This is a logic of complicity. The government is attempting a subconscious deal with the electorate: 'I look exhausted and caring, so please forgive my failure to act on taxes, public control, and resource allocation.' By framing the fiscal hole from the Iran war as an external excuse, they attempt to define the gap between Potential and Actual as 'unavoidable' rather than a policy failure.
It is absurd that they believe a Prime Minister's communication skills can substitute for results—offering the same despair but with 'better vibes.' This is a profound contempt for the subjectivities of voters. In an existential war, people need the actual expansion of their survival space, not a leader on TV performing the act of 'rolling up his sleeves.'
When a government's primary strategy is to be perceived as 'trying,' it has transitioned from a problem-solver to an emotional masseuse. Once this narrative is internalized, it becomes a form of cultural violence: it tricks the victim into believing that as long as the incompetent party is sincere, the misery is acceptable.
