Brazil's Dynastic Game and the Weaponization of 'The Future'

Procedural democracy is merely a game of shifting hands in the face of family complicity and meta-violence.

Brazil's election is not a 'lesson in democracy' but a textbook existential war. Flávio Bolsonaro's lead is a powerful rebound of the Bolsonarismo masculine-centric narrative. His rhetoric about 'the future' is a weaponized concept—packaging frustration over cost of living and violence into a craving for iron-fisted rule, masking fascism as 'protecting the family.'

The most repulsive part is the complicity. From Flávio to his siblings and wife, the Bolsonaro clan has achieved a total capture of power across the Senate, House, and governorships. Their goal isn't governance; it's using legislative power to impeach Supreme Court justices and whitewash a father who plotted a coup. This isn't political competition; it's utilizing the entry points of democracy to dismantle its structural integrity, turning the state into a family estate.

Lula's failure lies in attempting to counter weaponized expressions with factual narratives of a 'dark past.' In the logic of meta-violence, facts are irrelevant; what matters is who defines 'the enemy.' As Trump manipulates Latin American resources through a colonial logic, and Brazilian voters opt for a strongman linked to the underworld due to systemic pressure, the gap between Potential and Actual widens. This retrogression is no accident; it is the result of structural violence reaching a tipping point where people prefer a visible tyranny for a sense of illusory order.
