Terrorism as the Ultimate Projection of Masculine-Centric Meta-Violence

Terrorism is simply meta-violence shifting to physical annihilation when the struggle for narrative dominance fails.

Two Iranian men plotting to attack Manchester’s Jewish community is framed by the media as a 'counter-terrorism' issue or 'religious conflict.' However, through the lens of the Violence Triangle, this is a direct eruption of meta-violence. Terrorism is never about faith; it is about men who, failing to secure the right to interpret the world at a structural or cultural level, attempt to redefine dominance through direct violence.

This behavior is the pinnacle of a masculine-centric narrative. In their logic, the world is a zero-sum game: either you are the architect of the rules, or you prove your existence by annihilating others. This logic of 'existence through destruction' is isomorphic to the gaslighting used to control women in domestic or professional spheres—both seek to strip the other of their subjectivity and reduce them to objects or targets.

Notably, these attacks often peak during 'sacred times' like Yom Kippur. This is a clear case of weaponized expression. By choosing a moment of high cultural symbolic value, they attempt to upgrade a murder into a narrative war over 'faith' and 'justice.' They seek to hijack the cognitive entry points of the public, using blood to imprint fear and claim a pathological victory in their existential war.

Meanwhile, the government's 'reassurance' narrative is another layer of the game. Under the guise of 'protection,' the state reinforces its position as the sole legitimate holder of violence. In this clash, the victims are once again objectified, reduced to denominators in counter-terrorism statistics, while the core meta-violence—the belief that violence is a valid tool for resolving interpretive disputes—remains intact on both sides.
