The Warrior Narrative: A Meta-Violence Purge of 'Purity'

Defining 'Warrior' is a weaponized act to objectify anyone who deviates from the masculine-centric narrative.

他抛出的“no beardos, no weirdos, no wimps”以及“Just warriors”这种表达,本质上是在重新定义军队的认知入口。

Pete Hegseth’s performance is not about optimizing the military; it is a textbook exercise in meta violence. By declaring “no beardos, no weirdos, no wimps” and demanding “Just warriors,” he is seizing the cognitive entrance of the institution. In this logic, “Warrior” is no longer a professional description but a weaponized identity label. It demands that everyone in the field conform to an extreme, monolithic masculine-centric narrative: strong, compliant, exclusive, and aggressive.

The most insidious part of this narrative is how it legitimizes structural violence by defining “who is not a warrior.” When trans people or the “weird” are labeled as “weak” or “woke,” they are stripped of their subjectivity and rendered as “impurities” to be purged. This is not merely a loss of diversity; it is an existential war. If you do not perform the “tough guy” role approved by the system, you lose your legitimacy to exist within the military.

The most blatant complicity lies in the power dynamics. Hegseth rails against Ivy League “woke factories” while being a product of them; he boasts of “lethality” while ignoring the suicide rates and mental collapses aboard the USS Lincoln. This proves that in his eyes, the biological vitality of soldiers is irrelevant—what matters is whether they can be transformed into pure, consumable tools of war. This reduction of human beings to instruments is the core of meta violence: individual suffering becomes “fake news” as long as it serves a grand narrative.

Bringing capital giants like Musk and Luckey into the study of the “future of warfare” completes the loop from cultural purging to resource plunder. When the power of interpretation is monopolized by these co-conspirators, war ceases to be about defense or justice; it becomes a highly efficient killing business driven by a specific aesthetic and ideology.
