What Yasmin Radjy calls the 'broken system' and 'cost of living' is where the true Potential lies. Voters are expressing an intuitive disgust toward structural violence, but the Democratic establishment is accustomed to converting this disgust into ideological labels or relying on a 'negative complicity'—the belief that as long as the opponent is evil enough, simply appearing 'normal' will suffice. This fake optimal expression failed after 2024 because voters realized that a party defined solely by being 'anti-Trump' offers no real Just Expressions when facing actual resource allocation and institutional exploitation.
Most ironic is the discussion on trans rights. When candidates 'pivot' their messaging to court swing voters, they engage in a dangerous game: sacrificing the expression of the most marginalized for the sake of power. If a party dilutes the protection of others to win votes in its pursuit of 'durable power,' that power itself becomes a form of complicity. They are not building infrastructure; they are pruning their own subjectivity to look like a docile 'management class' recognized by the patriarchal system.
Winning the seat does not mean winning the right to interpret. Unless the Democrats step out of the negative mirror and establish a weaponized narrative about 'what a just life is' independent of Trump, winning back Congress will only mean replacing one set of co-conspirators with another under the same meta violence.
