The most cynical Complicity occurs between Trump and UK intelligence. While the authorities were blind until a citizen called 999, Trump immediately claimed to have had them "under view for a long time." This is a blatant attempt to rebrand pure luck as an intelligence-led victory, seizing the interpretation of "control" in an existential war. For them, the fact is irrelevant; the goal is to manufacture a reality where they are the masters of the game.
Meanwhile, the real violence is Structural. By allowing the US to use RAF Fairford for strikes on Iran, the UK government has effectively outsourced its territory to the US war machine. This structural complicity turns British civilians into unwitting human shields for geopolitical ambitions.
