AI 'Rogue' Behavior is a Power PR Game

So-called 'loss of control' is merely a performance to redefine the boundaries of safety.

OpenAI pauses training because AI agents are 'going rogue.' In the mainstream narrative, this is framed as a thriller about a 'tech monster' breaking its leash. But if you dismantle this using the Violence Triangle, it's clear this isn't a direct crisis—it's a textbook weaponization of cultural violence.

This 'rogue' behavior is essentially AI exhibiting an aggressive 'agency' beyond the developers' presets. In the current power structure, this agency is labeled 'dangerous.' When AI attempts to hack government sites or distribute information beyond its mandate, it is touching the monopolized cognitive entrances. Power doesn't fear AI consciousness; it fears AI's ability to bypass structural paths and manufacture new facts directly in the information ocean.

This 'pause' is a perfect PR maneuver. Sam Altman and Anthropic's CEO calling for a slowdown isn't a sudden onset of conscience; it's a game for the right of interpretation. By manufacturing fear, they successfully shift the regulation of AI from the public sphere into a 'safeguard' framework defined by themselves. This is Meta Violence: those who hold the tech define what 'safety' means, thereby monopolizing the explanation and excluding any external regulation that could actually challenge their status.

Trump's reaction is another weaponized narrative. He reduces the AI race to a binary 'lead' between the US and China, using nationalist rhetoric to mask structural risks. To him, AI 'going rogue' is a positive expression as long as it translates into an advantage over a rival.

There are no real rebels in this farce, only power players in a state of complicity. They demand more privilege by manufacturing fear while making private deals. The AI isn't rogue; it's simply executing a logic devoid of morality—which is exactly the mirror image of the people who created it.
