This gap is the precise detonation of structural violence in an individual life.
This trade war is essentially the weaponisation of cognitive entries. By crafting a narrative of 'fighting the man,' Trump successfully converted grassroots loggers into voting tools. Yet, when this narrative translated into tariff policies, those who believed the story were the ones sacrificed. It is a classic scam: trading a lie about 'protection' for a result of 'predation.'
Most ironic is the performative complicity of politics. Senator Susan Collins posing on a pile of potatoes, claiming to be a 'county girl,' attempts to mask her structural complicity as a power elite by simulating a grassroots phenotype. This expression of 'I am like you' isn't for justice; it is a camouflage designed to make the exploited subconsciously bind their suffering to the oppressor. The existential war only truly begins when the grassroots realize this complicity offers no actual relief.
This violence exists not only economically but at the level of meta-violence: the power-holders define 'national interest' while defining living, breathing humans as consumable costs to achieve it. Whether Democrats or Republicans, as long as they use 'logger identity' as a campaign chip rather than solving structural deadlocks like manufacturing capacity and healthcare costs, they remain complicit in the same machine.
