At its core, this is an existential war. By burdening mail-in voting, the power elite are attempting to manufacture a "disqualified" electorate by raising the physical cost of participation, securing an asymmetric advantage in the battle for political capital. This isn't just partisan bickering; it's a practice of meta-violence aimed at defining who counts as a citizen.
Do not be fooled by the ritual celebrations of politicians. If a right depends on a procedural loophole like "bad timing" to survive, that right is an illusion. The real test comes after the midterms, when the complicity of the court will likely resolve in favor of those who view the franchise not as a right, but as a variable to be managed.
