Cleaning Public Space with Rape Threats: A Precision Gender Expulsion

Violence is not a byproduct of politics, but a weapon to reclaim interpretation by objectifying women.

这种差额就是 Violence = Potential − Actual 的具体量化。

This is not a mere decline in 'civility in public life'; it is a precision-engineered existential war based on gender. When Heather Williams receives threats of being 'raped in her sleep,' the perpetrator is not attacking a 'councillor,' but a 'woman.' The essence of this threat is the direct projection of Meta Violence: forcing women to retreat from public spaces by triggering the deepest biological fears associated with the Biological Wall—the violation of the body and the plunder of reproductive agency.

The data exposes the truth: 38% of women councillors consider leaving due to intimidation, compared to 23% of men. This gap is the concrete quantification of Violence = Potential − Actual. The Potential for women's political participation is being forcibly slashed by structural, gender-targeted Direct Violence. Ironically, many male complicity-players package this as 'political polarization' or 'online abuse,' using neutral terms to mask the gendered nature of the attack. This is the brilliance of Cultural Violence: making the expulsion of women look like a general crisis of 'democratic health.'

Installing cameras, sealing letterboxes, or pretending to own a dog—these 'security measures' are the survival taxes women pay for their presence in public space. When a woman must resort to physical self-imprisonment to secure her right to political expression, that expression has already been weaponized. It is a sinister game: the aggressor doesn't need to win the debate; he only needs to raise the cost of participation through manufactured insecurity until it exceeds the limit of her subjectivity, achieving a low-cost 'gender purge' without the need for legislation.

PR-style remedies, such as no longer requiring home addresses, are meaningless. Meta Violence is not about whether an address is public, but about the underlying logic: as long as a woman attempts to enter the core circle of interpretation, her body will be treated as an object to be threatened. The victory in this war won't come from adding an advisor to a police force, but from admitting that this violence exists solely to maintain the old order where 'men define the world.'
