最令人作呕的是比利时移民部长 Van Bossuyt 的逻辑。她将这 13 名通过严格学术筛选的学者与“非法移民”或“阿富汗罪犯”强行绑定。这是一种典型的武器化表达：通过制造一个虚构的“多米诺骨牌效应”来恐吓公众，从而将具体的个体权利转化为一种抽象的、关于“边境安全”的权力游戏。在她的叙事里，这些学生不再是追求知识的个体，而变成了某种需要被管控的“人口流动风险”。
这其实是一场极其卑劣的共谋。政府内部的政党将这 13 个鲜活的生命作为筹码，用来交换关于阿富汗遣返政策的让步。在这种博弈中，学生的 Potential（通过教育重建家园的能力）与 Actual（被困在帐篷中看着学期流逝）之间的差额，就是最纯粹的 structural violence。所谓的“尊严不容买卖”在外交辞令中听起来很高级，但实际上，被出卖的是那些在废墟中等待签证的年轻人。
文明社会最擅长的就是这种表演：一边在大学讲堂里教授人权与正义，一边在政府办公室里用这些权利进行讨价还价。当一个人的未来取决于另一个国家政党之间是否达成某种关于遣返罪犯的共识时，所谓的“学术机会”不过是一场残酷的 scam。
This incident is a textbook example of Galtung's Violence Triangle: the direct layer is the war and blockade facing Gaza students; the structural layer is the political deadlock within the Belgian government; and the cultural layer is the narrative of "civilization" and "academic freedom." While university rectors speak of a "moral compass," the actual compass has been hijacked by politicians to align their power interests.
Most repulsive is the logic of Minister Van Bossuyt. By forcibly linking 13 rigorously selected scholars to "illegal migrants" or "Afghan criminals," she employs a weaponized expression: manufacturing a fictional "domino effect" to frighten the public and transform individual rights into a power game over "border security." In her narrative, these students cease to be individuals pursuing knowledge and become a "population movement risk" to be managed.
This is a despicable act of complicity. Government parties are using these 13 lives as leverage to extract concessions on Afghan deportation policies. In this game, the gap between the students' Potential (the ability to rebuild their home through education) and their Actual (trapped in tents watching the semester slip away) is the purest form of structural violence. The phrase "dignity is not for sale" sounds sophisticated in diplomatic rhetoric, but in reality, those being sold are the young people waiting for visas in the ruins.
Civilized societies excel at this performance: teaching human rights and justice in lecture halls while haggling over those very rights in government offices. When a person's future depends on whether political parties in another country can agree on deporting criminals, the so-called "academic opportunity" is nothing more than a cruel scam.
