13 Sacked Cops and the Bunker Called 'Culture'

Purging individuals is PR; structural complicity is meta-violence.

One officer wishing rape upon a female colleague, another boasting about enjoying violence against the public—to the outside world, these are 'a few bad apples.' Inside the Met Police, this is simply the authentic form of power in closed spaces: when one holds the legal monopoly on state violence, a natural predatory urge emerges toward all 'objectified' groups—women, immigrants, the homeless.

The irony is that these 13 dismissals relied entirely on an undercover BBC investigation. This proves that internal oversight was a scam; only when an external cognitive entry was forcibly opened did the evidence reach the public. The Met's claim of 'determination to improve culture' is mere post-hoc PR. In a healthy culture, such expressions wouldn't exist in a pub because they would violate the logic of the complicity.

We must resist the naive feeling that 'justice has been served.' Does purging 13 people weaken the structural meta-violence? No. As long as the police system remains a bastion of masculine-centric narrative, and as long as the rhetoric of 'protecting women' masks internal misogyny, this structural violence will regrow in the next shift. Sacking a few officers caught on camera does nothing to change the core of a system that subconsciously equates power with the capacity for violence.
