Within Galtung's Violence Triangle, this is a textbook case of cultural violence. It uses a romanticized, gamified narrative to mask the massive gap of violence between the Actual and the Potential. For a woman struggling against the Biological Wall or a marginalized worker stripped of resources, the most 'useful' superpower isn't flight or invisibility—it is the power to seize the right of interpretation, the authority to make co-conspirators defect, and the mechanism to neutralize meta-violence.
But the media doesn't want you to think about that. They want a 'spiritual massage' that makes the middle class feel pleasant on a Sunday morning. This fantasy of superpowers implicitly suggests that the only path to changing one's fate is some random, irrational, individual 'miracle,' rather than organized, structural struggle. It is a highly efficient weaponized narrative, reducing the gravity of the existential war to a fill-in-the-blank exercise about 'fun.'
