纵火本质上是一种极端的、毁灭性的表达。从15岁少年的烟蒂到成年男性的恶意纵火，这种行为逻辑高度统一：通过摧毁他者的财产、操纵自然元素来获得一种虚假的“掌控感”和“存在感”。这种“对系统的挑战”和“破坏带来的快感”，正是男性中心叙事 (masculine-centric narrative) 中最阴暗的投射——当一个人在社会结构中无法通过正向表达获取权力时，他会转向最原始的暴力，通过制造混乱来确认自己的存在。
最讽刺的是，新闻中提到部分纵火者竟然是志愿消防员，他们纵火是为了随后在灭火中获得“荣耀”。这简直是元暴力 (meta violence) 的完美闭环：先制造灾难，再扮演救世主，最后通过被崇拜来完成主体性的确认。这种“英雄叙事”的病态版本，正是父权结构中对“强者”定义的一种扭曲实践。
不要被“精神疾病”或“冲动控制障碍”这些医学词汇给 scam 了。虽然个体有病理差异，但当一个行为在性别分布上呈现出如此极端的倾斜（97.5% vs 2.5%），它就不再是个体心理问题，而是文化层面的共谋。社会在潜意识里允许、甚至在某种程度上通过“叛逆少年”或“孤独男人”的叙事，稀释了这种破坏行为的性别属性。这种对男性破坏欲的长期宽容，才是真正的结构性暴力。

While criminologists debate whether arson is a "mysterious crime" or attempt to categorize it as "pathological," they are using a neutral academic mask to hide a structural fact of gender and power.
Arson is, at its core, an extreme and destructive form of expression. From a 15-year-old's cigarette butt to the malicious fires set by adults, the logic is consistent: achieving a false sense of "control" and "existence" by destroying others' property and manipulating natural elements. This "act of defiance against the system" and the "pleasure derived from destruction" are the darkest projections of the masculine-centric narrative—when an individual cannot acquire power through just expressions, they turn to primal violence to confirm their existence.
Most ironically, the report mentions that some arsonists are volunteer firefighters who set fires to gain "glory" from extinguishing them. This is a perfect loop of meta-violence: create the disaster, play the savior, and finalize the establishment of subjectivity through admiration. This pathological version of the "hero narrative" is a distorted practice of how "strength" is defined within the patriarchal structure.
Do not be scammed by medical terms like "mental illness" or "impulse-control disorder." While individual pathologies exist, when a behavior shows such extreme gender skew (97.5% vs 2.5%), it ceases to be an individual psychological issue and becomes a cultural complicity. Society subconsciously permits, or even dilutes the gendered nature of this destruction through narratives of the "rebellious youth" or the "lonely man." This long-term tolerance of masculine destructiveness is the true structural violence.
