This is cultural violence in action: attempting to legitimize right-wing narratives by monopolizing the definition of "honesty."
Meanwhile, the "horror" and "considerations" from the Labour Party are mere performances. While they debate whether to implement a cap, the capital has already bypassed structural walls via residency loopholes. This sluggishness is a form of structural complicity. They are discussing the rules of the game while the opponent is simply buying the stadium.
The ultimate complicity lies in framing this cash injection as "saving the nation."
