This is an extreme masculine-centric narrative: by creating an external enemy, it grants its supporters a fake 'strongman' identity based on the oppression of others. In this complicity, voters exchange their subjectivity for a ticket to a so-called 'pure Germany.'
This victory reveals a brutal truth: when the shelter of 'civilization' fails to cover survival anxiety, people will unhesitatingly embrace the most primitive narratives of violence. Firewalls cannot block hunger or fear; they only block the naive idealists who believe democracy can be saved through 'polite discussion.'
