AI didn't replace the creator; it turned the creator into a janitor for its hallucinations.

This is a sinister form of structural violence. AI hasn't "liberated" creative workers as capital promised; instead, by churning out massive amounts of AI slop, it has downgraded designers and editors from "creators" to "digital janitors."

In this existential game, the subjectivity of the creative professional is being completely dismantled. Original creative work was an expression from 0 to 1; cleanup is merely the repair of a wrong answer. When 90% of requests become "fixing AI errors," it means the pricing power of expression has shifted from humans to algorithms. Humans are no longer the ones defining "what is good design," but have become complicit agents ensuring that "AI's failures aren't too obvious."

The irony is that this work is packaged as a "remedial opportunity." Clients, enjoying the low-cost first drafts provided by AI, attempt to hire professionals to fix the AI's incompetence using lowball rates. This is a textbook example of structural violence: capital uses AI to lower the entry barrier for creative labor, while simultaneously extracting the last bit of professional value through "human polishing," all while refusing to pay a just price.

Lisa's decision to return to canvases and watercolors is not just a rebellion against "soulless" work, but a physical migration of survival strategy. As the digital space is saturated with AI hallucinations, the biological wall of the physical world—real touch, irreplaceable brushstrokes—becomes the last stronghold for maintaining subjectivity. When digital expression is weaponized into an efficient garbage-making machine, true, inefficient, and warm human-made expression becomes the only true optimal expression to counter meta-violence.
