The 'Un-Dutch' Violence and the Global Complicity of Narcotrafficking

Violence never disappears; it simply completes its global division of labor under the cover of 'civilization'.

The shootout in a Dutch village was labeled 'un-Dutch' by the local mayor—a classic expression of cultural violence. By defining violence as 'alien' or 'foreign', the state attempts to maintain a narrative of a civilized, rational society. But according to the Violence Triangle, this 'civilized' Actual state is built upon massive structural violence. Violence is not a sudden accident; it is a functional requirement of the trade chain.

This event exposes a highly efficient complicity network: from the daughter of the President of Sierra Leone to the Algerian, French, and Belgian mercenaries firing guns in the Netherlands. This is a globalized meta-violence structure where the powerful define rules and harvest profits in safe zones, while the execution is outsourced to marginalized groups. The 'international nature' of the crime is simply capital leveraging biological walls and class disparities across borders to hedge risk.

The most cynical complicity lies in how Leijdekkers secured sanctuary in Sierra Leone through a relationship with the president's daughter, proving how power weaponizes crime into privilege. In this structure, the law is not a Just Expression, but a tool to filter who is arrested and who is protected. When the mayor laments that violence 'crosses all boundaries', he ignores that the drug trade itself profits by erasing boundaries and objectifying human bodies as mere logistics.

This bloody conflict is not an assault on civilization, but the actual logic of civilization operating in the shadows: behind the comfort of a European village, there are always priced lives fighting an existential war for the desires of the elite.
