What is this 'right way'? It is a power contract of 'respect' and 'unwritten rules' defined by a masculine-centric narrative. When Jazz Chisholm Jr. pursues his own optimal expression—increasing personal stats or simply mocking the opponent—and breaks this contract, he is branded as 'bush league.' This anger is essentially a hatred of non-conformity. By defining the 'correct' behavior, the announcer objectifies the player as a 'transgressor,' making the direct violence of throwing a ball at someone's head seem culturally justifiable and 'satisfying.'
This is cultural violence in action: using the guise of 'sportsmanship' to legitimize physical harm. The broadcaster, analysts, and certain fans become complicit, collectively upholding a meta-violence logic where the 'strong' must obey unwritten rules. In this framework, violence is not a taboo, but a tool to correct 'incorrect expressions.'
The irony is that the power to define the 'right way' always rests with masculine authorities. They decide what is 'brave,' what is 'selfish,' and when 'fighting' is acceptable. When violence is branded as 'preserving the purity of the game,' it becomes a power game over the right to interpret reality.
