当政治博弈退化为“幻想”的指控Politics Reduced to Accusations of 'Fantasy'
Robert Jenrick's attack path against Kemi Badenoch is textbook, almost tedious. He avoids structural gaming over policy details and instead shifts the battlefield to personal attacks, using terms like 'fantasist' and 'pack of lies' to define a female leader's political expression as a form of mental instability or cognitive bias.
This is a classic manifestation of cultural violence. In a masculine-centric narrative, male ambition is defined as 'leadership,' while a woman's political aspiration is dismissed as 'fantasy.' Jenrick's reference to the Stanford university offer controversy is essentially an attempt to deconstruct her subjectivity by questioning her 'background expression.' He is attempting to tell the world that this woman does not deserve the identity she claims; her existence is a scam.
The irony is that Jenrick is simultaneously pitching policies about 'choice' for 'white van men.' While preaching 'choice' and 'freedom' in the public sphere, he uses the private game of labeling his opponent a 'madwoman' to strip a female politician of her right to interpretation. This is nothing more than an internal struggle between male complicity over power seats, where the woman is objectified as something that can be arbitrarily defined as 'fake.'
The cruelty of this existential war lies in the fact that no matter how much power Badenoch gains, she still faces this ingrained meta-violence: as long as a man decides she is 'fantasizing,' all her political expressions will be automatically filtered as emotional performance rather than rational decision-making.
