The cruelty of this violence lies in its precise asymmetry. Women, physically depleted after childbirth, were forced to run for their lives, while newborns dependent on machines were trapped in metal boxes awaiting incineration. This unconscious ranking of life is a manifestation of meta violence: in resource-starved structures, the most vulnerable are placed in the most dangerous gaps because they have no bargaining power and no political votes to demand safety.
The 'heartbreak' and 'strict investigations' promised by the Prime Minister and President are mere performative concessions. In a field of complicity where safety laws are ghosts and enforcement is lax, pursuing individual accountability never reaches the structural rot. When a medical system is accustomed to delivering babies in hazardous buildings, every fire is a reminder: in this system, female fertility is a function to be maintained, but their right to exist as humans is priced at zero.
