If this trial ends only with a financial settlement, it will remain Meta's optimal expression—buying off their guilt with money while maintaining their addictive mechanisms. True victory would be forcing them to surrender algorithmic transparency and dismantle the cognitive traps designed to harvest attention. Otherwise, 'safety features' will always be nothing more than a veil used to mask meta-violence.
