When the government defines Germany as an "increasing target," it is paving the way for structural adjustments—expanding surveillance, increasing military spending, and strengthening the privileges of security apparatuses. This "victim narrative" is the perfect cover for any violence machine: as long as an external "Other" threatens us, all internal discipline and power expansion appear "rational" and "necessary."
Notably, while intelligence sources point to Russia, the official stance remains strategically ambiguous. This is not caution; it is a game. By controlling the release of information, the government can concretize the "enemy" whenever politically convenient, manufacturing a sense of urgency in the public sphere. In this climate, the public is led into a state of complicity: for the sake of security, we willingly surrender agency and accept the "strong leadership" typical of masculine-centric narratives.
The drones failed to explode, but the mechanism of consolidating power through manufactured fear is detonating with precision.
