Samuel Eto’o’s defense further exposes the mechanism: using money (the FFE scheme) to entice weaker nodes, such as African federations, to remain complicit. This is pure structural violence, securing political loyalty through manufactured dependency. In this game, the promised "democratic vote" is merely a shield used by the powerful to legitimize plunder.
Whether this storm forces Infantino to resign is secondary. The real victory is the opening of a cognitive entry: players are realizing they have been treated as disposable tools in FIFA's map of power. The outcome of this existential war is not about one resignation, but whether players and fans can reclaim the right to define what football actually is.
