Sovereignty as a Shield, Sanctions as Meta-Violence
The US Treasury's so-called “greatest financial offensive” is a textbook case of weaponized expression. It is no longer about simple trade embargoes, but an attempt to seize the “right of interpretation” and “pricing power” of global trade through secondary sanctions. When Scott Bessent declares “either you are with us or against us,” he is constructing a global field of complicity: compliance with the US narrative is branded as “freedom” and “access to capital,” while refusal is marked as “hostility.”
This logic is insidious, disguising structural violence as a “choice.” It lures allies with a fake optimal expression—that severing ties with Iran will “reinvigorate their own connectivity.” This is a pure scam. It induces other nations to become co-conspirators in maintaining US hegemony, at the cost of sacrificing Iran, treated here like a Primal Race, pushing the gap between its Potential and Actual existence to a breaking point.
Interestingly, the博弈 positions of Iran and China reveal the limits of current narratives. Iran attempts to fight back using “sovereignty” and the “UN Charter,” but this remains within the framework of a masculine-centric narrative. The real battlefield is this: when the US employs a naval blockade—a form of direct violence—to physically erase Iran from global trade, it ceases to hide its meta-violence. This violence targets not just a regime, but the physical bodies of ordinary citizens through hyperinflation, turning economic indicators into precise weapons of discipline.
The outcome of this game depends not on who shouts louder, but on who can manufacture the “truth”: whether it is the “financial isolation” defined by the US, or another “reality” that China and Russia are attempting to build, independent of the dollar hegemony.
