The 'Rationality' of Free Markets is Just a Price List for Structural Violence

When economists talk about 'unsustainability,' they are actually discussing who should be sacrificed.

The emergence of Mitchell Palmer strips away half of Reform UK's facade. The term 'unsustainable' is a weaponized concept in his lexicon. In economic narratives, this word is used to mask a brutal existential game: Who defines 'sustainability'? And who decides whose right to exist is merely a 'cost'?

Calling for the abolition of the triple lock, the privatisation of the NHS, and welfare cuts is a textbook case of structural violence. It attempts to reprice public resources—healthcare and pensions—converting the right to survival into a market commodity. The narrative that 'younger generations find it unfair' is simply meta-violence at work, inciting intergenerational conflict to keep the underclass fighting each other while capital beneficiaries feast on the privatisation of the NHS.

Most cynical is his take on migration as a 'poverty alleviation tool.' To him, humans are not subjects, but tools for cost-offsetting. This extreme economic liberalism is a pricing game of 'who can be objectified.' When a party claims to hire 'smart people they disagree with,' it is mere performative diversity—a shuffle among complicity to decide which method of exploitation is more efficient.

The endpoint of this game is clear: to maximize the gap between Potential and Actual in the Violence Triangle for the masses, and then sell that gap to the highest bidder.
