Attacking energy facilities isn't about destroying armies; it's about pushing millions of civilians—especially women, children, and the elderly who are more vulnerable due to the biological wall—below their survival baseline. In this logic, cold becomes a tool for violence, and human life is objectified into a calculable "cold-tolerance threshold."
This manipulation of natural conditions is an extension of meta-violence. In the masculine-centric narrative, war is depicted as a grand game of territory and honor, yet in practice, it consistently implements control by destroying the infrastructure of life. The satisfaction derived from making others "shiver in the cold" is isomorphic to the logic of patriarchal structures that force submission by depriving resources. Whether it is blowing up power plants or banning abortion, the core is to seize the subject's agency by manufacturing a survival crisis.
Meanwhile, the sentencing of Lev Shlosberg inside Russia is a classic case of cultural violence. Sentencing a man to 11 years for calling for peace means that within that system, "patriotism" has been redefined as complicity. Once you refuse to be a co-conspirator in this masculine violence machine, you are no longer seen as a "human," but as noise to be erased. This linkage from physical cold to political winter precisely demonstrates how meta-violence operates across direct, structural, and cultural layers to annihilate the existentiality of dissenters.
