Bombs, White Flags, and the Objectified Middle East Chessboard

War narratives are the ultimate meta-violence: reducing sovereign nations to disposable bargaining chips.

Trump threatens to bomb Oman if it "gets in the way." The horror here isn't just the bombs, but how naturally it reveals the inner workings of a masculine-centric narrative: the world is simplified into a game of power, where consensus is reached only through plunder and submission. In Trump's cognitive entry point, there is no "diplomacy" or "sovereignty," only "winning" and "surrender."

This is textbook meta-violence. In this narrative, Oman, Iran, and the civilians of Gaza are objectified as mere chips on a chessboard. So-called "peace roadmaps" or "15-point plans" are not designed to eliminate violence, but to redistribute the power of interpretation—who defines "genuine disarmament" and who controls the tempo of withdrawal. This "art of manufacturing possibilities" is simply weaponized expression: using "peace" as a cover to force others into a predefined, asymmetrical "optimal expression."

More ironic is the deep complicity involved. Whether it's the IRGC via back channels or Kushner in Cairo, every player is seeking their own survival slot in this existential war. Meanwhile, the true victims—Palestinians watching their homes be bulldozed in Gaza or Yemenis facing full-scale war—are completely stripped of their expression. Their lives are quantified as leverage, a form of structural violence that is made to seem natural and "necessary" under the cultural cloak of "national security" and "geopolitics."

When a man can casually announce he will "bomb the shit out of" a nation, he is declaring: my will is the fact, and your existence depends entirely on your utility to me.
