The Digital Nudity of Power and the Cheap Pricing of Cognition

When top-tier power becomes a low-level game in Signal group chats, security is a scam.

This is no longer a 'national security incident'; it is a collective collapse of power expression. From Andy Burnham being duped by an impersonator to the Trump administration leaking secrets in Signal groups like teenagers, it reveals a surreal reality: those who hold the ultimate power of interpretation are the most inefficient victims in the digital game.

In the Violence Triangle, this failure belongs to the structural layer. When the contact details of the most powerful people are priced and traded among CEOs and crypto bros, the 'sacredness' of power is completely dismantled. Power originally relied on a monopoly of information asymmetry, but now, that monopoly is shattered by cheap digital entry points. They sought an 'optimal expression' through informal communication, only to fall into a primitive cognitive trap: believing a profile picture and a nickname establish identity.

The deeper meta-violence lies in the 'arrogance of privilege' inherent in this masculine-centric power core. They believe they are above the rules, and thus ignore basic security discipline. This arrogance leaves them 'naked' in digital spaces. They chase a fast-paced, informal exchange of power, forgetting that any 'shortcut' attempting to bypass formal procedures is essentially handing a surrender document to potential attackers.

A power system where military secrets are tossed into group chats and private numbers are sold to the highest bidder has a violence gap (Potential − Actual) that is staggering. They control nuclear buttons and legislation, yet are played by a simple impersonator. This contrast proves that when the holders of power lose respect for the tools of expression, they themselves become the system's greatest vulnerability.
