As long as the definition of "affordable" remains with developers and the state, it will always exceed the actual payment capacity of the underclass. This is a fake optimal expression: playing the role of the "benevolent provider" to gain political legitimacy, while the displaced subjects continue to struggle in a higher-priced market.
By linking AI growth zones and data centers to infrastructure, the government is manufacturing a new reality: that productivity growth equals improved living standards. But for those priced out, living within 10 minutes of a station doesn't mean a better life; it means being more compactly packed into the machinery of capital, becoming a more efficient biological battery for the commute.
