Prince William's promised £500m investment is merely a PR version of structural violence. They brag about 150 energy-efficient homes, yet only six are for private rent—the rest were sold. They aren't improving the lives of existing tenants; they are optimizing their portfolio through asset disposal. This 'progress' is performative; it serves the balance sheet, not the human being.
