Joyless Decadence: The Total Colonization of Cognitive Entry Points

When every experience is priced by algorithms, pleasure becomes a weaponized consumer trap.

The so-called "joyless decadence" is not a psychological state, but a highly successful cognitive colonization. When we "access" global discographies or order extravagant meals through a screen, we aren't consuming experiences; we are consuming "experience symbols" preset by algorithms.

This is the weaponisation of expression: corporations seize the cognitive entry points, replacing authentic life expression with standardized digital products. By replacing physical movement with an endless scroll, we lose not just pleasure, but our subjectivity. AI and GLP-1s are merely accelerators—the former creates "perfect" narratives without human presence, the latter hijacks the switches of desire via biochemistry. When desire is quantified by code and drugs, the individual becomes the cheapest biological battery in the system.

This "emptiness" is a warning signal from the biological wall. Human biology requires authentic collision, uncertain gaming, and risky expression to confirm existence. The current system offers a "fake optimal expression": playing the role of a consumer in a zero-risk digital greenhouse. The cost of this performance is the death of subjectivity.

"Reclaiming decadence" sounds like a romantic slogan, but if this reclamation happens within the existing consumer framework, it is merely another form of complicity. The real breakthrough is not finding new ways to have fun, but realizing that as long as the power to define "what is pleasure" remains with the centers of power, our joy is nothing more than a priced distribution product.
