The most absurd complicity is how this 'strongman' expression is packaged as protection. In reality, both Iranian civilians and American drivers are mere objects in a masculine power struggle. In this narrative, territories, straits, and populations lose their subjectivity and become chips on a gambling table. This 'victory' is nothing more than a crude expansion of the power to define: because I can blockade it, it belongs to me.
