但这里存在一个巨大的 scam。认知入口的掌控（Expression）与实际的治理能力（Actual capacity）之间有一道深不见底的生物墙。特朗普在社交媒体上宣布“抹除”敌人，这在 cultural 层面上是极强的输出，但在 structural 层面上，他面对伊朗的战争是一场灾难。他追求的是社交媒体带来的 sugar-rush，而非外交中那些枯燥、精细的 grinding work。这就是典型的“假.最优解表达”：通过扮演一个强有力的领导者来换取短期选票，代价是主体性的空洞和现实世界的崩塌。
最讽刺的是，这些民粹主义者在本质上与那些穿着垃圾桶服装的抗议者没有区别。他们都只是 protest candidates。不同之处在于，特朗普和法拉奇通过掌握解释权，让自己成了那个被选中的“抗议者”。他们并不打算解决导致不满的结构性暴力，因为解决问题需要的是公正的表达和长期的制度建设，而这与他们追求的、基于情绪煽动的认知垄断完全背道而驰。
当油价上涨、战争陷入泥潭，这种表演性的权力在现实的 Potential − Actual 差额面前被瞬间拆穿。认知入口可以被操纵，但生物性的生存压力和物理世界的资源分配不会被任何一条推文所改变。
Farage and Trump share a core strategy: the weaponisation of politics into a pure performance. In the logic of my third chapter, this is a classic seizure of the cognitive entry point. By manufacturing grievance and defining a fictional 'establishment' enemy, they successfully implant a specific version of reality into the public consciousness. For many voters, this expression is a victory in an existential war—as long as they vote for the man who screams on their behalf, they feel they have won spiritually.
However, there is a massive scam here. A profound biological wall exists between the control of cognitive entry points (Expression) and actual governing capacity (Actual capacity). Trump’s proclamations of 'obliterating' enemies are powerful outputs at the cultural level, but his war with Iran is a structural calamity. He chases the sugar-rush of social media rather than the grinding, detailed work of diplomacy. This is a textbook 'false optimal expression': playing the role of a strongman to secure short-term votes, at the cost of an empty subjectivity and a collapsing reality.
The irony is that these populists are fundamentally no different from the protest candidates dressed as trash cans. They are all merely symbols of dissent. The only difference is that Trump and Farage, by monopolising the right to interpret reality, became the 'protest candidates' who actually get elected. They have no intention of solving the structural violence fueling the discontent, as solving problems requires just expressions and long-term institutional building—things that contradict their reliance on emotional manipulation.
When petrol prices soar and wars stall, this performative power is exposed by the gap between Potential and Actual. Cognitive entry points can be manipulated, but biological survival pressures and the physical distribution of resources cannot be altered by a tweet.
