AI Music: A Cheap Scam of Expression

When expression is reduced to a prompt, art becomes an industrial plunder of human subjectivity.

Fenix Flexin’s 'Rubberz' hitting the Billboard charts isn't 'democratization'; it's a textbook expression scam. In my framework, Expression is the confirmation of existence—the result of a creator gambling their blood, experience, and subjective will within the Biological Wall in an existential war. AI music, however, is merely an unauthorized sampling of massive human expressions, a semi-finished fitting based on probability distributions. It possesses no subjectivity, only simulacra.

The irony lies in the performance of the record majors. Universal and Sony sue AI generators in court while simultaneously signing strategic partnerships with Nvidia and Stability AI. This is pure complicity. They don't care about the death of art; they care about pricing power. By proposing 'eligibility criteria,' they are attempting to redefine 'lawful AI,' essentially absorbing this cost-cutting weapon into their own structural violence to ensure future 'AI products' remain within their commission systems.

SZA feels she is at war because this is indeed a war over cognitive entries. When 97% of listeners cannot distinguish real from fake, the concept of 'truth' is being diluted. If an artist can gain traction by performing an 'AI simulacrum,' the true optimal expression of human artists—the authentic collision of flaws, pain, and soul—will be eclipsed by these low-cost, calculated fake optimal expressions. This is not just economic plunder; it is meta-violence at a cultural level: it attempts to convince us that human creativity is nothing more than a predictable set of parameters.

'AI Persona' tags or chart segregation are merely sticky notes on a massive fraud. The real battlefield isn't about labels, but whether we still acknowledge that any output without subjective will does not deserve to be called 'Expression.'
