Colonizing the Primal Race: The Blueprint of Terror in the West Bank
The siege in Qusra is not a 'settler conflict'; it is a textbook case of structural violence. When settlers cut off water and power and block ambulances while uniformed soldiers set up tents or maintain 'closed military zones,' we are seeing a colonial mechanism endorsed by the state. Violence = Potential − Actual; the basic rights to survival and healthcare are forcibly subtracted from these families, and the deficit is the terror they endure.
Most repulsive is the performance of the masculine-centric narrative. A general visits, promises 'seriousness,' and removes a tent but leaves the bedding, allowing the attackers to remain at the doorstep. This 'performative concession' is a weaponized cultural narrative: it projects an image of 'management' to the international community while legitimizing violence at the meta level. The army is not the maintainer of order but a complicit partner in settler terror, controlling the interpretation of 'disturbances' to facilitate ethnic cleansing.
This logic of defining a group as 'subhuman' or 'second-class' to strip them of their subjectivity is the universal blueprint for the colonization of the Primal Race. Whether through direct violence or structural violence embedded in law, the goal is the same: seize land and erase the other's existence. When over 1,100 people are killed with only one indictment, this impunity is the ultimate meta-violence—it signals that in the current narrative, certain lives simply have no price.
