The 'Crimes' of Fauci: A Political Hunt for Interpretive Power

When legitimate debate is replaced by weaponized justice, it is a performance of meta-violence.

The attempt by the Republican-led committee to define Anthony Fauci as a 'criminal' is not a public health audit; it is a textbook case of the weaponization of expression. In this game, facts are irrelevant; what matters is who holds the power to define those facts.

By casting Fauci as a 'supervillain,' Republicans have successfully constructed a narrative at the cultural layer: the arrogant elite deceiving the masses. Once this narrative is internalized, structural violence follows naturally—using the power of a Senate committee to transform legal proceedings into tools of humiliation. Fauci's invocation of the Fifth Amendment over 100 times was his optimal expression for survival, yet within the logic of meta-violence, it is instantly translated as 'guilt' and 'cover-up.'

Most ironically, this 'weaponized justice' is a product of deep complicity. They do not care whether Fauci actually funded virus research; they care about the performance—proving to their base that they can 'punish' symbols of the establishment and the intellectual elite. This is a classic power game of masculine-centric narrative: establishing one's own strength by manufacturing and destroying an enemy.

When the Justice Department becomes a political tool and hearings become rehearsals for the guillotine, we are witnessing not the victory of the rule of law, but the absolute monopoly of interpretive power. Fauci's plight reminds us that in a system governed by meta-violence, any reasonable defense is interpreted as evidence of a crime as long as you are categorized as the 'enemy.'
