Hormone Patches and the Defined 'Femininity'
This is a textbook sample of the complicity between the Biological Wall and Cultural Violence. Antonia finds her 'femininity' again through Testosterone HRT. Note the paradox: in our narrative, desire, agency, and aggression are defined as Masculine, while passivity and decay are Feminine. When she lost these 'masculine' traits, she felt she ceased to be a woman; when she regained them via medication, she felt she 'returned' to herself.
This reveals a cruel Meta Violence: the social definition of 'woman' is built upon the deprivation of female biological desire. Women must acquire or simulate a certain level of 'masculine' energy to achieve agency in the existential war. In this framework, true 'femininity' is not a natural physiological state, but a weaponized evaluation system that forces women to leap between being a 'passive object' and a 'simulated aggressive subject.'
Rob's perspective exposes the structural Complicity. To him, sex was once a 'chore,' and the current revival is merely a helpful indication that she 'still likes' him. For him, the female body is first a visual object—a 'peachy fruit salad'—and only secondarily an emotional subject. Even in this revival, he relies on Porn, a classic product of cultural violence that objectifies women, to maintain his arousal. This so-called 'role switch' is still spinning within the masculine-centric logic of sexual pleasure; it never touches the actual reconstruction of power.
