By using global energy supplies as leverage and missiles as boundary markers, they replicate the patriarchal mechanism of enforcing submission through the monopoly of resources.
Observe the weaponized terminology in the report: "correct behavior," "freedom of navigation," "international waters." These concepts function at the cultural layer to legitimize violence. The US invokes "freedom" to maintain the structural violence of its global hegemony, while Iran demands "compensation" and "withdrawal" as an attempt to trade direct violence for interpretive power. Both sides perform the roles of the "order-maintainer" or the "oppressed resistor," but in reality, they are simply fighting over who gets to set the price and decide who may pass.
The irony lies in who pays the price: the crew members wounded by missiles and the global underclass pushed into poverty by oil price volatility. In this grand narrative, individual lives are completely objectified as "collateral damage." This is the essence of meta-violence: reducing humans to mere tools for some abstract, macroscopic significance. The so-called "diplomatic negotiations" are nothing more than two groups of complicity confirming their bottom lines, while the actual victims have no seat in their game model.
