Systemic Failure as a Pardon for Predators

So-called 'systemic errors' are a veil for structural violence and collective complicity.

Calling Simon Levy a 'predatory monster' is a cheap narrative escape. By using this term, the police and prosecutors attempt to individualize the violence, framing the tragedy as 'bad luck in meeting a lunatic' rather than 'the system opening the door for one.'

Through the lens of the Violence Triangle, this is not just direct murder, but a dual collapse of structural and cultural layers. A proven sex offender, free to hunt across London despite multiple attacks, arrests, and even being on bail for his first murder, is not the result of 'clerical errors.' This is textbook structural violence: the systemic devaluation of reports from female victims and the perverse prioritization of a male perpetrator's 'human rights' (exemplified by BTP's hesitation to search his home to avoid 'breaching rights').

Most repulsive is the mechanism of complicity. Prosecutors 'forgot' to mention a murder suspect status in three hearings; police returned a stolen Oyster card to him, effectively providing the transport for his next kill. This scale of dysfunction transcends incompetence; it is a manifestation of meta violence—where the 'procedural justice' of one man outweighs the basic survival rights of multiple women.

This proves once again that 'protecting women' within the current judicial structure is merely a PR performance. When the institution itself serves as a shield for the abuser, every so-called 'error' is nothing more than a pardon issued to a predator.
