This play exposes a classic scam of the cognitive entry point: the so-called audience data. In late-capitalist power structures, data isn't used to understand humans, but to reverse-engineer them by defining the Target Audience. When production companies replace artistic intuition with statistics, they are executing a form of structural violence—reducing living beings to predictable consumption units, thereby erasing any expression of subjectivity that doesn't fit the algorithm.
Tobias, the writer treated as a cog in the wheel, represents the tragedy of the complicity. He attempts to gain existence by adding an "edge" within the system, but this edge remains wrapped in company-approved platitudes. This is a fake optimal expression: playing the role of a "thoughtful creator" while actually providing decorative legitimacy for the exploitative mechanism. In this game, art is no longer the confirmation of existence, but a precision-feeding exercise to increase conversion rates.
The apocalyptic setting is the ultimate irony. As the real apocalypse hits, these media types—obsessed with data, statistics, and vacuous networking—realize that the virtual reality they built is powerless against the biological wall and physical annihilation. They spent their lives studying how to manipulate the attention of the audience, only to find that they themselves were the samples precisely calculated and discarded by the power structure.
