FIFA's Mafia Logic and the Complicity of Capitalist Fascism

The fall of a leader is not the return of justice, but an internal purge among co-conspirators over spoils.

Many are celebrating Infantino's downfall as karmic justice. But this naive satisfaction masks a colder truth: FIFA has never been a sports organization; it is a textbook arena of meta-violence. It operates on a feudal system of tribute and protection, using a supralegal shell to shield itself from any external scrutiny. In this structure, rules are not designed for fairness, but to filter for the most loyal co-conspirators.

Looking back at the last eight years—from the blood-soaked Qatar World Cup to the blind surrender to Saudi Arabia—the football executives now screaming about morality were all active agents of complicity. Their silence toward sweatshops and power grabs was their initiation rite into this 'mafia family.' Their sudden 'rebellion' isn't a moral awakening; it is a reaction to Infantino's attempt to privatize the World Cup, which threatened the shared cake of the co-conspirators.

This is fundamentally a game over pricing power. Infantino tried to fully weaponize football, transforming a mass pursuit into a pure instrument of capital to prove his loyalty to the billionaire investor class. When he attempted to secure a larger piece of the largesse for himself, he ceased to be the leader who distributed spoils and became an obstacle. Consequently, 'governance crises' and 'moral objections' became the weaponized narratives used to justify a simple mob-style decapitation.

Infantino may fall, but the underlying logic of capitalist fascism—a profound disdain for humanity—remains. As long as the structural layer of FIFA remains an unchecked black box of power, the next regime will simply wear a more polished pageant sash of reform while continuing the same game of complicity.
