Child Hunter in the Moat of Political Power

Political status is the ultimate cover for cultural violence, turning predators into idols through complicity.

A Pakistani MP hailed as a "man of the people" was hunting vulnerable girls in Manchester basements. This is no isolated incident; it is a textbook existential war. Those at the top of the power hierarchy build their own subjectivity by completely erasing the subjectivity of the marginalized.

The most sickening part is the transnational complicity. In the UK, he used community influence to craft the phenotype of a "success story"; in Pakistan, he used the party machine to whitewash his history. When facing British law, he could evade justice with a pathetic excuse of being "too unwell to fly," while simultaneously performing political passion on social media. This contempt for the law is, in essence, a contempt for the victims' status as human beings.

The meta violence here is stark: a masculine-centric narrative allows his followers—whether ignorant or willfully blind—to package him as a "man of conviction." In this narrative, the suffering of women is structurally erased because, in the logic of the complicitors, maintaining a "powerful" male leader is more beneficial to the camp than acknowledging the destroyed lives of young girls.

This is not just direct violence, but a dual strangulation of structural and cultural layers. When a potential rapist can regain immunity through an election, the law becomes a mere accessory to power. The gap between Potential and Actual for the victims is widened infinitely. Human rights are women's rights, but here, human rights are as fragile as paper before the moat of political power.
