The search for "adapting playgrounds" is essentially a performative patch. Unless the structural layer of resource allocation is redefined, these localized fixes are merely humanitarian Band-Aids applied to structural violence.
The real gap between Potential and Actual is not a lack of cooling technology, but a lack of political will to prioritize the right to survive over asset appreciation. As long as urban planning remains a closed club of complicit elites, extreme heat will continue to function as a biological wall, filtering who gets to survive and who is sacrificed.
