This narrative of power transition is farcical. In FIFA's world, "support" or "withdrawing support" is never about the purity of the sport, but a series of games over interest distribution. Infantino tried to use the logic of capital to reshape the pricing power of authority, but he underestimated the established interests' reliance on existing structural violence. They don't need a more efficient business model; they need a manageable butler who maintains the status quo.
People are accustomed to viewing such personnel changes as a "judgment of justice," but in reality, it is merely an internal risk hedge among co-conspirators. Regardless of who takes over, as long as the masculine-centric narrative continues to monopolize the interpretation of football, and as long as women remain defined as "ornaments" or "objects" in this power structure, nothing fundamentally changes. The only difference is that the next butler might pretend to be a gentleman while dividing the spoils.
