塞乌塔的尸体与欧洲的文明面具The Corpses of Ceuta and Europe's Mask of Civility

国际 直接层 · 结构层 · 文化层 · 元暴力 The Guardian ↗ 2026-08-03 § 链接
人道主义叙事是结构暴力的遮羞布,死亡是唯一的真实表达。
Humanitarian narratives are shams for structural violence; death is the only honest expression.

72 corpses, 50,000 bodies attempting to breach a border. In the narrative of mainstream outlets like The Guardian, this is framed as a "crisis" and "divisions within Europe." Notice the choice of words: when human lives are reduced to footnotes of political disagreement, it is textbook cultural violence. It packages a systematic annihilation as a diplomatic "division," allowing the audience to participate in the complicity of structural violence under a veneer of civilized concern.

Applying Galtung's Violence Triangle, the most brutal part isn't the 72 deaths (direct violence), but the institutional wall that forces 50,000 people into a suicidal charge just to attempt survival (structural violence). Squeezed between biological walls and national borders, their only "optimal expression" is to gamble their existence on probability. While European nations debate "divisions," they are actually gaming who bears the cost of clearing the gap between Potential and Actual. The so-called "humanitarian crisis" is merely a cognitive patch deployed by power-holders to maintain a "civilized" persona after realizing the entrances cannot be fully sealed.

This tragedy proves once again that when a group is defined as the "Other," their death is no longer a loss of human rights, but a political chip. In this masculine-centric geopolitical game, whether it's the Moroccan push or the EU's decision-making, they are co-conspirators in a meta-violence of "order." The bodies piling up on the beach are the only honest expressions left: in this so-called civilized world, the mere existence of some people is treated as a violation.
