政府在撤除欧盟时期的补贴，同时让农业在极端的旱涝循环中裸奔。NFU 所谓的“在沙地上画线”优先保障国内生产，其实是试图在既有的男本位、资本中心主义生产模式下，通过向国家机器乞讨资源来维持一个已经失效的旧系统。他们请求的 tax breaks 并不是为了改变生产方式，而是为了在不触动结构的前提下，让少数土地所有者在崩溃前多撑一段时间。
最讽刺的 Cultural Violence 在于，这种叙事将饥饿的风险包装成“天气不好”，而刻意忽略了全球化贸易中对生物多样性的破坏和工业化农业对水资源的过度榨取。当 2300 万人被禁止使用软管浇水，而工业农业却在请求政府资助建设更大规模的蓄水池时，资源分配的优先级已经清晰地指向了谁才是这个共谋场域中的核心利益者。
这场所谓的“最后一次收获”并非因为雨水不足，而是因为一个拒绝进化、依赖补贴且对自然掠夺的旧结构，终于在气候危机的加速下，达到了 Potential 与 Actual 差额的最大值。

The government is stripping away EU-derived subsidies while leaving agriculture exposed to extreme cycles of floods and droughts. The NFU’s call to 'draw a line in the sand' to prioritize domestic production is an attempt to maintain a failing, masculine-centric, capitalist production model by begging the state for resources. These requested tax breaks aren't meant to transform the system; they are meant to let a few landowners survive slightly longer within a collapsing structure.
The Cultural Violence here is the narrative that frames potential food shortages as merely 'bad weather,' while ignoring how industrial agriculture and global trade have systematically depleted biodiversity and water resources. When 23 million people are under hosepipe bans while industrial farms ask for state-funded reservoirs, the priority of resource allocation is clear: the core beneficiaries of the complicity remain protected.
This 'last harvest' isn't happening because of a lack of rain, but because a rigid structure—reliant on subsidies and predatory extraction—has finally hit the limit of its resilience. The gap between Potential and Actual in the Violence Triangle has simply become too wide to ignore.
